In the Caribbean National Forest in Puerto Rico, it is apparant that a perudic moisture regime exists in the isomesic and isothermic portions of
the Forest. After reviewing the 8th edition, the Perudic moisture regime is only found in Oxisols.
I propose the following Suborders:
Perudults - Ultisols having a perudic moisture regime.
Perudepts - Inceptisols having a perudic moisture regime.
and definately one to ponder:
Perverts - Vertisols having a perudic moisture regime.
Also need to consider adding to the plinthite definition: ""will not slake after being in immersed in water for 24 hours"".
