I THINK IT SHOULD Applying to all Epepedonby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
Molic Epepedon it is excluded in area with Aridic Soil Moisture Regimeby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
The simple way to determine the acidic soil moisture regime is to lock to the natural vegetation (the presence of xerophytic plants)and to the percentage of precipitation and to enhance the hyperthermia soil temperature regimeby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
Should we consider the Hemic ,Femic and Sabric materials the major components of Histic Epepedon?? With my appreciation and regards. Prof. Abughanem Abdulellahby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
n suffix should be used when ESP>15 % If not it will be Bt or other suffix depending on the diagnostic subsurface horizon or the type of pedogenic process.by Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
The Root-Limiting layers are: Fragipan, Duripan, Placic, Petrogypsic and Petrocalcic Horizonsby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
Good explanation but Saprolite is not a Horizon, it is a Layer and mainly C or C/R layer and should be considered as Parent Materials for the soil formed above it.by Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
From my experience you rubbed the soil sample in dry stage you could estimate the % of sand then moist the sample you can determine the % of clay fraction so the rest of the 100 % is the silt %, then you look to the textural triangle you get the type of Texture in the field. Simply its a weathersble pedrock not C,B or layer or any horizonby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
when the affect of soil forming factors and S F Process take a place in C layer it change to B horizon directly With my Appreciations and Regards. Prof. Dr. Abdulellah A. I think the term plow layer refers to the soil effective depth (solum ) ,where most nutritional processes take placeby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
I think both soil should be genetically formed in siteby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
Master Horizon and Suffixes I think most agricultural scientist and even pedologists misunderstand and confusing on the exact definition or meaning of soil layer and Soil horizon in Soil Taxonomy .Why ?? In my opinion Soil layer is an earthy plain continuous and parallel to soil surface ,characterized by only a morphological features distinguishing it from other layer , While the soil horizby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
The Taxonomic names In Soil Taxonomy depends (based) on SMR,STR, Epipedons, Endopedons, Mineralogical Classes and other diagnostic features important for plant growth (Chemical & Physical properties )by Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
Some Problems in soil Taxonomy Distinction between Soil layer and Soil Horizon First of all we have to consider in our mind that all the soil layers and soil horizons are the result of the interaction affect of 3 external geological processes ( Weathering, Erosion and Deposition ) , six soil forming factors(Climofactor, Biofactor , Anthropofactor, Topofactor , Lithofactor and Chronofactor )by Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
The infiltration of water is a physical soil characteristic expressed in land evaluation as 'Drainage'by Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
Yes I agree with you it should be 1% because some Ochric of Europe can have 0.9 % of O Mby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
The process of deposition it self is an external geological process , it takes a place after weathering and Erosion ( all those 3 processes are external geological processes ) With my appreciations and regards. Can we get some copies of " Keys to Soil Taxonomy Twelfth Edition, 2014 " for our deparment ??? Please with my appreciations and regards. Yours faithful Prof. Dr. Abdulellah A. It is an organic layer formed by pedological proses (Decomposition ) of organic matter and the upper boundary shall start from 0 cm to 2 cm. An O layer may be on the surface of a mineral soil, or it may be at any depth below the surface if it is buried. A horizon formed by the illuviation of organic material into a mineral subsoil is not an O horizon, although some horizons that have formed in thby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
I think It is not a horizon it is a pedogenic process which called gleying (with simple Bg)by Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
It is not a Horizon it is a an Organic Soil Layer overlay the A layer formed by the accumulation of organic matter mainly of resent slightly decomposed plant's parts an this layer subdivided in to :O1,O2 and O3 according to the degree of decomposition of the organic matter . with my appreciations and regards. Such information for geological interests you find it in mineralogical classes in Soil Taxonomy and regarding the soil mosture read the types of soil moisture regimes in soil Taxonomyby Prof.Abughanm - Soil Taxonomy Forum
those are a seperated names or one name tell a lower category of classification ? you need to make a coarletion of those name to Soil Taxonomy with my regards Prof. Dr. Abdulellah A.
