Re: How to find silt amount in sand on field?

From my experience you rubbed the soil sample in dry stage you could estimate the % of sand then moist the sample you can determine the % of clay fraction so the rest of the 100 % is the silt %, then you look to the textural triangle you get the type of Texture in the field.
