HAPLAQUODS were in the Spodosol order. They were Aquods with an aquic moisture regime. They are mostly Endoaquods in the Second edition of Soil Taxonomy, 1999. Haplaquods were deleted from Soil Taxonomy and replaced with Epiaquods (perched water table) and Endoaquods apparent water table) in 1992.
Aquods are the Spodosols with a water table (aquic conditions) within 50 cm.
Endoaquods are the Aquods that are:
Are warmer than Cryic;
Have more than 0.10% iron in the Spodic horizon;
Do not have a fragipan or a cemented horizon within 100 cm;
And do not have a perched water table.
