With the addition of aridisols to soil taxonomy, soils that meet the main criteria of currently being found in an aridic moisture
regime, why then is aquisols not a soil order, based on the aquic moisture regime? The same could be argued with the
addition of gelisols in the pergelic regime. I understand that the agricultural uses or restrictions influence these decisions, but
then why would aquisols not be included, as they restrict agriculture and construction uses.
