keys to Aridisols

Has anyone else noticed that both the Aridisols and Vertisol codes in the KST-8th and the Magenta Book begin with the same letter, 'F'? In fact this is the correct letter for Vertisols, as you can see from the key to Orders, where they key out 6th = 'F'; the Aridisols key out 7th and should in fact have the first letter of the code 'G'.

So, codes like FEFS = Typic Haplargids should in fact be GEFS.

I use these codes in soils database work, because they are unambiguous, hierarchical, and short. I hadn't worked with the Aridisols before now.

Any comment from the Keepers of the Keys?
