Hello there,
The question: Are redoximorphic features a pedogenic feature?
Can you have a C-horizon (unweathered geologic parent material) with
redox features described in it? A lot of dense till soils in the Northeast
have Cd horizons with many redox concentrations in it, should they
be B horizons (Bx) or BCd? Can a Cg horizon (gleying due to wetness)
have redox features or should it be a Bg if redox is a pedogenic feature.
Since you need evidince of soil genesis to make it a Bg because gleying
is not considered a pedogenic process unless there is other evidence of
soil formation such as structural development, etc. Thanks
