There is information about the formation of the Carver Series. In SE Mass. Carver soils typically have coarse sand to loamy coarse sand textures throughout the control section, a thin A-E-Bs horizon sequence (as seen on the profile) underlain by several Bw horizons differentiated primarily by color change. The Bw horizons are about 20 to 35 inches thick.
