Humic vs Mollic Inceptisols

Aquepts can have a Mollic subgroup. Udepts of the same description (mollic
epipedon) are called ""Humic"" whether they are Eutrudepts or Dystrudepts.
Can someone enlighten me on the rationale for this distinction?
