Thanks for the reply. We are using several soil qualities for evaluating the soil. Our
research includes all of the indicators you mention (OM, texture, bulk density, and
porosity). I am using all of these and more with plant/hydrology data and best
professional judgement to compare scores for each functional capicaty indicator
(FCI) for 24 wetlands with various function and disturbance. We also consider
type of disturbance and proximity to ditching to enable the model to assist in
the prediction restoration value. While I agree with your list of important qualities, our actual publish model will stick
to those that can be evaluated in the field.
