The discussions about the properties of horizons dominated by vesicular pores have mentioned genetic processes on several occasions. Genetic processes are important to whether vesicular porosity warrants designation with a subordinate suffix symbol, a master horizon symbol, or no symbol.
So to all interested pedologists, I pose the following two questions:
1.) Is deposition of soil parent material, such as alluvium, eolian sands, or loess, a pedogenic process or a geologic process?
