The moist bulk density referred to in Soil Taxonomy is for an undisturbed(?) core or block of organic material in a moist, but freely drained condition (excess water drained away under gravitational force). The closest descriptor would be 'at field state', but with the caveat of being allowed drain excess water upon removal from pit. I don't believe it would be appropriate for "bulk density, moist" as used in Soil Taxonomy to be applied organic soil material if it were to be dried, or dried and then rewetted.
